Overview

Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline.

Georgia

Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town.

Itinerary

  • DAY 01: LONDON – AZERBAIJAN

    Assemble at London Heathrow / Gatwick airport to board Flight No. XXXX at XXXX hours for Azerbaijan. Overnight in flight.

  • DAY 02: AZERBAIJAN (BAKU)

    Arrive at Heydar Aliyev (Baku) International airport at XXXX hours. Upon arrival, clear immigration, collect your luggage and follow sign for exit. Watch out for our representative who will be holding a placard with RAJDHANI TOURS AND TRAVELS. You will be welcomed and greeted at the airport and transferred to hotel. Check-In Hotel. Rest. Relax in hotel to recover from the jet lag or explore the city on your own. Evening proceeds for a orientation tour. Dinner. Overnight at Baku.

  • DAY 03: BAKU – CITY TOUR – OLD TOWN – NIZAMI STREET – BAKU

    After breakfast, visit Heydar Aliyev Center– a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture. Visit to Highland Park-Alley of Martyrs, Flame towers-the tallest skyscraper in Baku. Walk through Baku Boulevard which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. Starts at Freedom Square continuing west to the Old City, proceed on walking tour of Old City or Inner City is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Dinner. Overnight at Baku.

  • DAY 04: BAKU – GABALA – BAKU

    After breakfast, proceed to Gabala, the north-west of Azerbaijan, on arrival proceed on an Excursion tp Tufandaq"Winter-Summer Tourism Complex offering cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski tracks of different difficulty level, ski training and ski school. After free time proceed to Nohur Lake. Dinner. Overnight at Baku.

  • DAY 05: BAKU – Ateshgah – Yanardag – Genclik Mall – BAKU

    After breakfast, proceed to Ateshgah (Fire Worshippers Temple) Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu and Zoroastrian place of worship. Later proceed for a Trip to "Fire Mountain "-"Yanardag" - a mountain on Abs heron peninsula, Blazing bodies of flame dance on stones and floor. Yanardag is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the "land of fire." Later drop at Genclik Mall, the biggest Mall in Baku, Bravo supermarket. Dinner. Overnight at Baku.

  • DAY 06: BAKU – TBILISI (GEORGIA)

    After breakfast, proceed to Tbilisi (Georgia). Arrive and check in hotel. Evening proceeds for a orientation of Tbilisi. Dinner. Overnight at Tbilisi.

  • DAY 07: TBILISI – MTSKHETA – TBILISI

    After breakfast, visit Metekhi Cathedral. Narikala Fortress (4th), Walk across the Bridge of Peace which is a stunning design as well as convenient crossing between the newly constructed Rike Park and the Old Town. Continue to explore underground sulphur baths (17th century) - the district of naturally hot mineral waters, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral and the most ancient Basilica in Tbilisi Anchiskhati (6th century). Later drive to Mtskheta and see its historical places: Jvari Monastery (6th). Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta for some souvenir shopping. Dinner. Overnight at Tbilisi.

  • DAY 08: TBILISI – ANANURI – ZHINVALI RESERVOIR – GUDAURI – KAZBEGI – TBILISI

    After breakfast, visit to Georgian Military Highway, to the border with Russia. Throughout the route you will be surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. On the way you will visit Ananuri fortress (16th), Jinvali water reservoir and see an amazing view of the Gudauri ski resort (photo shoot at beautiful sights). Then we will visit Stepantsminda known as Kazbegi, small town in the north-east Georgia. It is well known and considered to be one of the must-see destinations in Georgia due to amazing views of mountains and stunning nature. We will see Gergeti Trinity Church (14th) located on 2200 meters above sea level. Dinner. Overni at Tbilisi

  • DAY 09: TBILISI – KAHHETI – SIGHNAGHI – BODBE – TBILISI

    After breakfast, visit the most remarkable and picturesque hilltop town of Sighnaghi, situated in the very heart of Georgia's wine growing region, with pastel houses and narrow cobblestone streets overlooking the vast Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. Masterclasses in churchkhela and Georgian bread "shoti" making followed by tasting the wolrd famous Georgian Wine. Later visit Bodbe Female monastery (grave of Saint Nino - enlightener of Georgia). Dinner. Overnight at Tbilisi.
